Paintings by Albert
Namatjira are some of the best loved images in
Australian art. While many works by members of the
Hermannsburg water colour school still come to auction,
for most people the best opportunity to see paintings
by Albert is to visit the Araluen
Arts Centre in Alice Springs or else to buy a
reproduction print.

prints of a number of Albert Namatjira's most popular
paintings, and these images are reproduced below.
The paintings show locations in the Macdonnell Ranges,
west of Alice Springs, that were important in Albert's
life and which have become popular tourist attractions.
